Most articles on QCDs stop at “it lowers your taxable income.” That is true, but it misses the more precise value: a QCD is one of the few tools that reduces your modified AGI without requiring you to itemize, invest differently, or change your spending. Custodians are not obligated to rush processing. Start in early December, get written confirmation, and follow up if you do not hear back within a week.
